Short Getaway To Desaru Coast
Since we are still in MCO, the interstate is not yet permitted.
Traveling maybe not be advisable this time but perhaps this can be a good reference to you and your
family when thinking of having a short holiday outside Johor Bahru specially
when you’ve been staying at home for almost a year.
The Journey
We took Causeway Link bus service from JB Sentral to get to
Desaru Coast Adventure Waterpark that time. The bus service was still
available. We took this bus with only
RM15 per pax per one way. The bus is spacious and with good air-conditioning
facilities.
The bus service dropped us at the Adventure Water Park
Desaru Coast bus bay area so we went straight to the entrance of the waterpark
for a splashing water adventure.
Splashing Adventure At The Waterpark
We enjoyed the ride at the Adventure Waterpark in Desaru
Coast for the whole day until 3PM. It was a hot day so need to use a lot of sunblocks. Then we checked out and took a cab to get
straight to Tunamaya Beach & Spa Resort Desaru Coast. This hotel is a 4-star
hotel situated right in front of the beach coast of Desaru Coast.
The rates of those hotels inside Desaru Coast are quite expensive.
So we book our accommodation outside Desaru Coast but nearby to this area. And that
is Tunamaya Beach & Spa Resort Desaru Coast.
The Hotel
The staff and crews of the hotel were very accommodating. We
checked-in at 3 PM and the process was very straightforward. Since we are
quite tired during our waterpark adventure, we rested at their hospitality
area.
The staycation was really amazing. I love the evening
setting. It's very relaxing and their swimming pool is just facing the beach
area. It’s very convenient (just a walking distance).
The hotel may look a bit run down but I think it is still well-maintained.
The ambiance along the coast is very calming. I don’t need to get to an
expensive hotel just to experience the beachside. The waves are quite strong. Better to have some safety precautions in that area.
I love their sea view from our hotel room. It’s nice to just
go out on their balcony and relax and hear the noise coming from the sea waves.
It’s just like music in my ears that helps to relax my brain cells from the
busy city life in Johor Bahru.
In terms of food, their breakfast buffet was Superb. The eating place was quite spacious.
Going Back To The City Center
After checking out at the hotel on the following day, we
hang out at their beach area around 3PM. They don’t have many guests on that
day so it's quite considered free and easy.
At around 4:30 pm, we went to Desaru public beach which cost
us about RM18 for our taxi to get there. We spend about one hour and 30
minutes there before we went to the Desaru Coast bus bay area to take the bus
to JB Sentral at 6 PM.
The fare going back to JB Sentral from Desaru Coast was RM15 per pax which give us more saving in terms of transportation from JB
Sentral to Desaru Coast.
We arrived in JB Sentral around 7:15 PM in the evening and took our dinner inside the JBCC where we parked our car before going back home.
The experience for me for this adventure was something which I want to have again. It was absolutely a very relaxing short gateway.
