LEGOLAND® Malaysia Resort has unveiled its brand-new MINILAND Sultan Ibrahim Stadium, celebrating one of Johor’s most iconic sporting landmarks and the home of Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) Football Club.
Officially launched on 16 August 2026, the new attraction
adds another exciting destination to the LEGOLAND Malaysia experience, offering
guests an immersive LEGO recreation of Sultan Ibrahim Stadium and bringing the
energy and excitement of a JDT match day to life.
Constructed using more than 400,000 LEGO bricks, the impressive model showcases the creativity, precision and attention to detail that have become synonymous with LEGOLAND’s MINILAND attractions. The recreation features intricate LEGO craftsmanship complemented by animated crowd moments, immersive soundscapes and dynamic lighting effects, creating a lively stadium atmosphere for visitors to experience.
The construction of the MINILAND Sultan Ibrahim Stadium took approximately 5,000 hours to complete, equivalent to around 870 days of school, demonstrating the remarkable level of craftsmanship and dedication behind this ambitious LEGO build.
As one of Johor’s most recognisable sporting landmarks, Sultan Ibrahim Stadium holds a special place in the hearts of football fans, particularly supporters of JDT. The stadium serves as the home ground of the Southern Tigers and has witnessed some of the most exciting moments in Malaysian football.
By recreating the stadium in LEGO, LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort is not only showcasing an iconic Johor landmark in a unique and imaginative way, but also giving visitors an opportunity to experience a familiar piece of Johor’s sporting culture through the creativity of LEGO.
The launch event was attended by Mr Darhim Dali Hashim, Group Chief Executive Officer, Destination Resorts and Hotels (DRH); Yang Berhormat Tuan P. Pannir Selvam, Chairman of the State Committee for National Unity, Heritage and Culture; Mr CS Lim, Vice President of LEGOLAND® Malaysia Resort; and Mr Alistair Edwards, Chief Operating Officer of Johor Darul Ta’zim Football Club (JDT).
The unveiling further strengthens LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort’s commitment to creating attractions that combine local identity, storytelling, technology and LEGO creativity, while offering both domestic and international visitors new reasons to explore Johor.
With its impressive scale, interactive elements and celebration of one of Johor’s most beloved sporting icons, the MINILAND Sultan Ibrahim Stadium is set to become another must-see attraction for families, LEGO fans, football enthusiasts and visitors exploring LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort.
