While many visitors enjoy exploring these attractions up close, sometimes the most memorable views come from stepping away and appreciating the city from a completely different perspective.

During our recent exploration of Kuala Lumpur, we had the opportunity to admire three of the city's most recognisable landmarks from approximately 5 kilometres away: the magnificent Petronas Twin Towers, the impressive Merdeka 118 and the iconic Menara Kuala Lumpur (KL Tower).

It was a wonderful opportunity to appreciate the city's skyline and capture a different side of Kuala Lumpur through our camera lens.

No visit to Kuala Lumpur's skyline would be complete without mentioning the world-famous Petronas Twin Towers.

Standing proudly in the heart of the city, these magnificent twin skyscrapers remain among Malaysia's most recognisable architectural icons. Their distinctive design, connected by the famous skybridge, makes them an unforgettable sight.

Even from approximately 5 kilometres away, the Twin Towers remained an impressive feature of the cityscape. Their unmistakable silhouette reminded us why they continue to attract visitors from all around the world.

As one of the world's tallest buildings, this architectural masterpiece has transformed Kuala Lumpur's skyline with its distinctive design and impressive height.

From our viewing perspective, Merdeka 118 stood out beautifully among the surrounding buildings. Its modern architectural character adds another dimension to the city's ever-evolving skyline.

Completing this impressive skyline was Menara Kuala Lumpur, commonly known as KL Tower.

Unlike the surrounding skyscrapers, KL Tower features a distinctive telecommunications tower design with its observation deck and antenna rising above the city.

For many visitors, it is a popular destination to enjoy panoramic views of Kuala Lumpur. However, seeing it from a distance offers another interesting perspective, allowing us to appreciate its unique structure as part of the city's overall landscape.

Although the weather was slightly hazy during our visit, which affected the clarity of the distant views, it did not take away from the excitement of spotting these magnificent structures.

It was a meaningful start to a new chapter for the KAMIGŌ team as they welcomed guests to discover what the brand has to offer.

When our orders finally arrived, the presentation immediately caught our attention.

One of the more exciting moments during our visit was the unique presentation of a fresh egg yolk placed on top of the burger patty in one of the dishes.

This was more than just an ordinary food presentation. The egg yolk had to be placed on top within five seconds, adding a playful element to the dining experience.

My wife had the opportunity to try this experience, with support from Ms Fion from Punching Star, while our two little ones were also part of the fun.

It was an enjoyable moment that added something different to our visit. Sometimes, it is these small and unexpected details that make a restaurant experience more memorable, especially when dining with family.

After enjoying that experience, I continued exploring the menu and discovered the KAMIGŌ Chicken Hamburg.

The dish features a juicy chicken hamburg served with KAMIGŌ's own house-made gravy, accompanied by Japanese pearl rice.

The gravy brings a warm, smooth and savoury element to the dish, pairing nicely with the rice and chicken. Together, the components create a comforting meal that can appeal to diners looking for something satisfying without making the experience overly complicated.

Before we began exploring the menu, it was interesting to learn more about what makes an izakaya different from a typical Japanese restaurant.

What made this dish even more memorable was the response from our little ones. The kids really enjoyed it, so much so that we ended up ordering another serving!

For us, that was a lovely discovery. Sometimes, the dishes that become family favourites are not necessarily the most elaborate ones, but those that everyone at the table genuinely enjoys.

For me, this was one of the more adventurous moments of our meal. Food discoveries are not always about finding something familiar that we already love; sometimes, they are about being willing to try something new and learning more about another food culture along the way.

And that is exactly what made this visit memorable.
