When travelling by air, finding
the right place to stay near the airport can make a big difference especially
when you have an early morning flight, a long layover, a connecting flight the
next day, or simply prefer to stay close to Kuala Lumpur International Airport
(KLIA).
During one of our recent
discoveries, we came across BRIX KLIA by Pinetree, an accommodation located at
KLIA Avenue in Sepang, Selangor. And what caught our attention was that BRIX
KLIA is not designed simply as a place to sleep.
It offers a combination of
accommodation, shared facilities and lifestyle amenities that make it an
interesting option for travellers looking for convenience and flexibility.
A Convenient Location for Travellers
One of the biggest advantages of
BRIX KLIA is its location. Situated at No. 31, Pusat
Perdagangan KLIA Avenue, Jalan KLIA Avenue, Sepang, the property is positioned
within the KLIA area and approximately 19 kilometres from Kuala Lumpur
International Airport. An airport shuttle service is also available, although it
is subject to a charge.
For travellers, this can be
particularly useful. If you have an early flight the
following morning, arriving late at night, or simply don't want to travel all
the way into Kuala Lumpur before catching your flight, staying around the KLIA
area can provide some much-needed convenience.
It can also be useful for
passengers who have connecting flights and need somewhere comfortable to rest
between journeys.
More Than Just an Airport Stay
What makes BRIX KLIA interesting
is its concept. The property describes itself as
an urban co-living hotel, combining accommodation with spaces where guests can
work, relax, eat and interact.
Instead of having only a hotel room and a lobby, guests have access to a range of shared facilities designed around different needs. There are 87 rooms, with room configurations including POD, POD+, LOFT, LOFT+ and QUAD. Depending on the room type, the accommodation can cater to solo travellers as well as couples, friends and families.
Comfortable Rooms for Different Types of Travellers
During our tour, we discovered
that BRIX KLIA offers different room concepts rather than following a
one-size-fits-all approach.
The POD is designed with the solo traveller in mind, offering a private space with an en-suite bathroom, air-conditioning, Wi-Fi and a Smart TV.
For those who require more space, there are larger options such as POD+, LOFT, LOFT+ and QUAD.
The QUAD, for example, offers
around 30 square metres of space and is designed to accommodate more guests,
making it a more practical option for families or small groups.
The overall design also gives
BRIX KLIA a modern urban and industrial character, creating a slightly
different atmosphere from the conventional airport hotel.
A Kitchen You Can Actually Use
One of the facilities we found
particularly interesting was the community kitchen. For travellers who don't always
want to eat out, having access to a shared kitchen can be a useful feature.
You can warm up food, prepare something simple or enjoy a meal in the shared space. This is especially practical for longer stays or travellers who prefer having some flexibility with their meals.
The property also provides water dispensers on the floors, while other basic amenities are available according to the room and property arrangements.
Don't Forget Your Fitness Routine
Travelling doesn't necessarily
mean putting your fitness routine on hold. BRIX KLIA also has a fitness
centre/gym, equipped with workout equipment for guests who want to squeeze in
some exercise during their stay.
For frequent travellers, this is definitely a useful facility. Whether you're staying overnight before a flight or spending a few days in the area, having a gym within the accommodation means you don't necessarily have to abandon your normal routine.
There's Even a Games and Entertainment Area
And here's something that we
didn't expect to find in a property designed largely around airport
travellers—a games and entertainment area.
This could be particularly appealing to families travelling with children, or simply anyone who wants a little entertainment after a long journey.
Need to Do Some Laundry?
Another practical feature is the laundromat/self-laundry
facility. For travellers staying longer,
this can be incredibly convenient.
Instead of packing enough clothes for an extended trip or looking for an external laundry service, guests can make use of the laundry facilities available within the property.
This is one of those facilities that may seem small at first, but becomes very useful when you're travelling for several days.
A Place to Work Too
BRIX KLIA isn't only targeting
holidaymakers. The property also incorporates co-working
facilities, making it possible for guests to combine travel with work.
For business travellers, digital nomads or anyone who needs to catch up on emails and work while travelling, having a dedicated working environment can be a major advantage.
This is where the co-living concept becomes quite interesting—BRIX KLIA provides spaces not only to sleep, but also to work, eat, relax and socialise.
Food and Everyday Convenience
Travellers also don't have to go
too far for basic necessities. BRIX KLIA offers dining
facilities, while a convenience store is available within the property. There
are also restaurants and shops in the surrounding KLIA Avenue area.
Current property information
lists a restaurant serving local and international cuisine, with breakfast
options including continental and buffet selections.
This makes the overall experience more convenient, particularly for guests who are only staying for a short period and don't want to spend too much time travelling around.
The property brings together
accommodation with practical facilities such as a gym, community kitchen,
laundry, entertainment areas, co-working spaces and a convenience store.
For travellers, convenience is often the most important thing—and BRIX KLIA seems to understand that.

Sometimes, when you're travelling, you don't need an elaborate resort. You simply need a clean and comfortable place to rest, somewhere convenient to get a meal, a place to do some laundry, perhaps a gym or entertainment area, and easy access to the airport.
