Children and parents participated in team-based exercises emphasizing
basic safety practices, such as wearing helmets and understanding proper
bus boarding procedures. Participants were also introduced to cashless
payment systems, giving children insight into modern, efficient, and
secure ways to use public transport.
- Electric
Bus Experience:
A dedicated electric bus ride allowed participants to experience
first-hand how eco-friendly buses operate. Children learned about battery
charging, energy efficiency, and the preparation required before buses are
deployed for public service.
- Exposure
to Different Bus Types:
Children were introduced to a variety of buses, including high-deck and
double-decker buses, city buses widely used across Johor, and cross-border
buses that operate between Johor Bahru and Singapore via the Johor
Causeway. This gave them a broader understanding of the different services
available in Malaysia’s public transport system.
- Creative
Learning Activities:
The children participated in a colouring competition, allowing them to
showcase their creativity while reinforcing lessons about public
transport. The Handal Indah team selected the top three artworks, which
were recognised and awarded by the event’s organising committee.
- Parent-Child Team Exercises: Children teamed up with their parents for exercises that encouraged teamwork, problem-solving, and an understanding of bus safety procedures.
