Flavors Meet Tradition: Exploring the Ramadan Buffet at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Johor Bahru
With this Ramadan 2025, we had the delightful opportunity
to experience the "X-Iftar Ramadan Buffet Dinner" at Holiday Inn
Express & Suites Johor Bahru. This year's buffet promises a perfect fusion
of local and ASEAN flavors, curated to tantalize every palate.
Our buffet adventure began with an enticing selection of
starters and appetizers, thoughtfully prepared to kick off the dining
experience. From traditional salads to savory bites, each dish set the stage
for what was to come.
Moving to the local cuisine section, the first dish that
caught our attention was the aromatic Nasi Mandy, served in various fusion
styles, blending local spices with global influences. Alongside it was a
mouthwatering spread of grilled marinated seafood and lamb, perfectly seasoned
with local herbs and spices, paired with the hotel’s signature sauces to
enhance every bite. The roasted honey chicken added a sweet and savory touch to
the already impressive lineup.
No Ramadan buffet would be complete without the beloved
chicken and beef satay, served with a variety of condiments. For curry lovers,
the buffet featured several rich and flavorful curry dishes that promised to
warm the soul.
The ASEAN section showcased a delightful mix of dishes,
including barbecue chicken wings, cheese meatballs, aglio olio pasta, and mixed
vegetables. Each dish celebrated the region's diverse culinary influences.
One of the standout highlights was the Sup Berapah area.
Here, we discovered the extraordinary Sup Tulang — a hearty bone marrow soup
with a rich broth and tender meat that melted in our mouths.
For those craving comforting noodle dishes, the buffet
offered Johor Laksa and their ever-popular Indomie station. These dishes were a
hit among diners looking for a warm, satisfying bowl.
The buffet also paid homage to traditional Malay favorites.
Diners could enjoy a feast of local staples such as karipap, an array of
goreng-goreng makanan (deep-fried delights), and many more.
No feast is complete without dessert, and the hotel's selection did not disappoint. We wrapped up our meal with refreshing slices of tropical fruits and an assortment of sweet treats, providing a perfect ending to a memorable dining experience.
Reflecting on our experience, we found this year’s menu selection to be more refined and diverse compared to last year. Each dish felt thoughtfully prepared, balancing traditional flavors with modern twists, making the buffet truly worth the price.
If you're looking to break your fast in a warm and welcoming
atmosphere while indulging in an array of mouthwatering dishes, the X-Iftar
Ramadan Buffet Dinner at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Johor Bahru is a
must-try this Ramadan season.
