Seasonal Taste Of Westin Desaru Coast Resort Showcases Chinese New Year Buffet 2024 With A Blast


Welcome to the Seasonal Tastes of The Westin Desaru Coast Resort here in Johor. In celebration of Chinese New Year 2024, let's delve into some of the buffet highlights that will be showcased as part of their CNY Buffet offerings.
 
Before we delve into the exquisite array of menu offerings, join me in a delightful culinary tradition – the traditional Yee Sang Tossing experience meticulously prepared by The Westin Desaru Coast. This engaging activity not only adds a touch of festivity but also symbolizes the celebration of prosperity and good fortune.
 

Yee Sang tossing is an important part of Chinese New Year festivities, as family members come together to engage in this joyful activity. The act of tossing symbolizes the pursuit of good fortune and prosperity as we usher in the Year of the Dragon. It's a cherished tradition that not only adds a sense of communal celebration but also infuses the coming year with positive energy and auspicious vibes.

Following the Yee Sang tossing, I had the pleasure of being accompanied by Mr. Jacky Kok, the Director of Food and Beverages at The Westin Desaru Coast Resort, as we delved into the extensive array of menu selections they have to offer.
 

Mr.  Kok graciously added to introduce us to this captivating selection of additional fresh seafood delights. This included succulent prawns, plump mussels, and pristine fresh oysters. These offerings not only enhance the gastronomic experience but also add an extra layer of choice for our dining pleasure. 

These delectable seafood items, seamlessly integrated into the menu, stand as proof of the culinary richness and variety that The Westin Desaru Coast Resort has meticulously curated for its guests.
 

Following Mr. Kok's introduction, we got to try out the Fresh Seafood on Ice in different varieties. Here, guests can pick their favorite seafood, hand it over to the staff, and then choose between Kung Pao sauce or Laksa for preparation. It's a cool way for everyone to have their seafood just the way they like it. You pick, they prepare – simple and tasty!
 
Next to this, we visited their noodle station, where Mr. Kok mentioned that they had various noodles to showcase during the buffet. As my son is a noodle enthusiast, we took this opportunity for him to give it a try. The dedicated handsome chef at the station was truly helpful in preparing my son's noodles.


Meanwhile, guests will be delighted by the various selections of starters displayed in an appetizing manner. The presentation of the buffet is simply amazing, leaving a lasting impression on everyone.

Beside the appetizer counter is the sushi section, displayed in a manner that is not only enticing but also exceptionally hygienic. This is a must-try dish, given the meticulous presentation and cleanliness observed in showcasing this cuisine.


Of course, the buffet wouldn't be complete without those amazing desserts mentioned earlier by Mr. Kok. Here at Westin Desaru Coast, they have truly gone all out in presenting a wide selection of desserts that would satisfy any sweet tooth. 

The way these desserts are arranged adds to the overall impression that The Westin Desaru Coast is an excellent choice to celebrate Chinese New Year with friends and family.
