We are excited to introduce you to Chef Yee Weng Ding, the Executive Chef at Renaissance Hotel Johor Bahru. Today, he graciously shares details about the special Chinese New Year offerings available at Wan Li Restaurant. 

These offerings are crafted with care, making them an ideal choice for your upcoming Chinese New Year reunion dinner with family and friends. Let's delve into the festive flavors and culinary delights that Chef Yee Weng Ding has prepared for this joyous occasion
 

This time, we have the opportunity to explore the Wan Li Happiness Set. This set can be reserved for either 10 people or 6 people, depending on the specific requirements of the diner's customers.
 

Let's kick off the Chef's Table presentation with an exquisite dish - the Prosperity Abalone Yee Sang, complemented by Crispy Shredded Treasures and a delightful Plum Dressing. What makes this experience even more special is the personalized touch provided by Wanli Restaurant's dedicated Food and Beverage (F&B) staff. They are there not only to assist but to elevate the presentation of the  Yee Sang on the table.
 

Each F&B staff member is well-versed in the art of Yee Sang and will guide us through the diverse elements of this dish. Additionally, they will share the significance, meanings, and symbolic representations associated with each component. As we embark on this culinary journey, their insights will add a layer of understanding, enhancing not just our dining experience but also aligning our aspirations towards a prosperous Year of the Dragon.
 
Right after the preparation, the symbolic Yee Sang tossing is a must-try, especially after the meticulous preparation by their dedicated F&B staff. It's a delightful tradition and a wonderful way among family and friends to usher in the Year of the Dragon with aspirations for health, wealth, and, of course, successful careers for everyone at the table. This joyous and interactive experience not only adds a festive flair to the meal but also signifies the collective hopes for a prosperous and fulfilling year ahead.
 

Following the Yee Sang tossing, the culinary journey continues with the serving of Double Boiled Golden Dendrobium Chicken Soup and Ophiopogon Japonicas. This nourishing soup is thoughtfully presented, creating a perfect harmony when enjoyed right after the lively Yee Sang tossing. The combination of flavors and textures promises a satisfying continuation of the dining experience, adding a comforting touch to the festivities.


Next in line is their Wan Li Abundance Treasure Pot, a delightful ensemble featuring an array of meats and seafood, including abalone, shrimp, steamed duck, steamed chicken, sea cucumber, broccoli, and more. 

The flavors of these ingredients blend harmoniously, creating a delectable medley. It's worth noting that the pot is generously sized, making it suitable for a gathering of about 10-12 people. Following the Abundance Treasure Pot, we have the Poached "Pontian" Silver Pomfret Fish with Pickled Radish and Coriander in Soy Sauce. To ensure a convenient dining experience, Wanli Restaurant's attentive Food and Beverage (F&B) staff will be on standby, ready to expertly cut the fish. 

This ensures that diners can easily savor a slice of this generously sized Pomfret fish. The combination of succulent fish, pickled radish, and flavorful soy sauce promises a delightful continuation of the feast, with the added convenience of expertly prepared servings.
 
Following this, the feast continues with the Festive Authentic Hakka Yam Abacus Seeds, a dish perfectly suited for the Chinese New Year celebration. This culinary creation adds a touch of tradition and authenticity to the menu, making it an ideal choice for this festive occasion.
 
Moving forward, get ready to indulge in the delectable Creamy Sesame Walnut Soup accompanied by Glutinous Rice Balls.
