Uncovering The Citarsa Keluarga Malaysia Ramadan Dinner Buffet Of GBW Hotel Johor Bahru


During this holy month, we have seen a lot of hotels and other F&B players around Malaysia offering buka puasa (breakfast) during this Ramadan Season. This does not apply in Malaysia but also throughout the world.


This year, we had the chance to visit GBW Hotel in Johor Bahru for Buka Puasa. This hotel is formerly known as  Grand Blue Wave Hotel nestled within the city center area.


Their buffet this year is composed of about 120 dishes in different rotations highlighting their Kambing and Ayam Golek, Ayam and Daging satay as well as their mouthwatering appetizers and local cuisines prepared by Chef Karim and his team.


We spotted some local favorites such as their Kuih Tako.  It is a Malaysian local favorite cooked in a two-layered coconut and pandan jelly made of mung bean flour then wrapped with pandan leaf.

Sometimes, some chef adds water chestnuts to this dessert to give additional texture to the whole set. This is common during Ramadan Season in Malaysia and other ASEAN regions.


Aside from Kuih Tako, we also spotted other local delights highlighted by GBW Hotel for their Ramadan Buffet Dinner 2022. They have a dessert table showcasing local and international desserts that will really excite your tastebuds.

They also have spotted their live cooking station where we discovered the popular Durian Goreng. It is crispy outside and soft inside with a tasty filling of durian. They also have their noodle section for those who are keen to take line dishes.


Their Citarsa Keluarga Malaysia buffet this year starts from April 4 to May 1, 2022, from 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM.

Their buffet is priced at RM98 nett for adults and RM48 nett for children between 6-12 years old and Senior Citizens above 60 years old.
