Holiday Inn JBCC Showcase Auspicious Blossoms Feast For It’s Chinese New Year 2026 Offerings
Chinese New Year is always a special time of the year, filled with reunion, traditions, and meaningful meals shared around the dining table. This year, we were honoured to be part of the Prosperity Lunar New Year Feast preview at Dine@8, Holiday Inn Johor Bahru City Centre (JBCC), where the hotel unveiled its festive offering beautifully themed as the Auspicious Blossoms Feast.
Available
from now until 15 January 2026, daily from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM, this Lunar New
Year dining experience is thoughtfully curated for families, friends, and
corporate gatherings looking to celebrate the season in style.
The Lunar New Year feast is served in a classic round-table setup, known as the Reunion Set, accommodating 10 guests per table. Diners may choose between two thoughtfully crafted options: the Abundant Happiness Reunion Set or the Longevity Blessing Reunion Set, both designed to encourage sharing, togetherness, and abundance.
For
smaller gatherings, Holiday Inn JBCC also offers family-sized sets, including
the Lucky Jade Set (2–4 pax) and the Heavenly Celestial Set (4–6 pax), making
it convenient for families of all sizes to enjoy a festive feast together.
During the preview, we had the opportunity to sample several menu highlights, starting with refreshing appetisers such as the Chuka Kurage Salad, followed by the elegant Dragon Silk Bali and Chicken Seaweed Roll, setting the tone for a delightful culinary journey.
One
of the first standout dishes was the Four Auspicious Delights Platter,
impressively presented with a dramatic smoke effect. This presentation
instantly elevated the dining experience and created excitement for what was to
come.
We then enjoyed the comforting Braised Fish Maw Soup with Crab Meat and Sweet Corn, carefully served by the hotel’s attentive F&B team to ensure every guest received a warm and satisfying bowl.
Another
highlight of the feast was the Herbal Chicken Soup, served whole and expertly
sliced by dedicated F&B staff for easy sharing at the table. This
thoughtful service added a personal touch to the dining experience.
The Nyonya Curry Steamed Red Snapper was a crowd favourite, thanks to its incredibly appetising aroma and well-balanced flavours. The moment it arrived at the table, everyone was impressed, making it one of the most memorable dishes of the meal.
To
balance the richness of the feast, the Crispy Cereal Tiger Prawns added texture
and crunch, followed by the luxurious Braised Abalone with Mushroom and
Broccoli in Yam Ring. The aroma alone drew everyone’s attention, with guests
eagerly reaching out to taste this indulgent dish.
The set menu also included Lotus Leaf Fried Rice with Chicken and Dried Shrimps, a comforting staple that complemented the richer dishes perfectly. The feast concluded on a sweet note with Red Bean Soup with Glutinous Rice Balls, symbolising togetherness and completeness—just right for the Lunar New Year season.
It’s
also worth highlighting that Holiday Inn JBCC’s Lunar New Year offerings
include a Yee Sang Set under their Golden Prosperity Set, available in both Smoked
Salmon and Vegetarian options.
For this Chinese New Year preview, the Yee Sang tossing session marked a meaningful milestone for Holiday Inn JBCC, symbolising prosperity, unity, and their readiness for the upcoming Chinese New Year celebrations 2026.
Overall,
the Prosperity Lunar New Year Feast at Holiday Inn JBCC delivers a
well-balanced festive dining experience—thoughtfully curated menus, attentive
service, and flavours that honour tradition while appealing to modern tastes.
Whether you’re planning a reunion dinner, a family gathering, or a festive
corporate meal, this is certainly a celebration worth considering.
