Day Trip in Kluang Johor

Since it is the school holidays, we brought the kids to Kluang in Johor. We drove all the way from Johor Bahru straight to Kluang to visit some of the interesting places they have there.

Here are our itineraries:

1. Trip To Kluang: 7:30 AM to 9:10 AM

We drive there thru the EDL Highway with a total toll fee of RM13.60. You will be paying twice for one trip. RM1.72 for the toll fee using Kempas entrance point then RM5.80 to Simpang Renggam entrance point. One-way toll fee is RM6.80.

The journey took us about 1 hour and 40 minutes to reach Kluang. We used a navigating app to get to our destinations. Teh journey was quite long since we stop a few times at the R&R for the kids to have some breaks in between.

2.  Cattle Cattle Park: 9:10 AM – 1:30 PM

Cattle Queen park is recognized by the Malaysia Book of Records as the first Ruminant Park in the country. So we are excited to visit this.

The entrance fee is RM10 per person regardless of child, adult, or senior citizen. They also provide a pack of animal food that we can feed to their animals.

Activities available here:

a. Horseback Riding

This activity will take 15 minutes. An additional fee is required which needs to be paid at their counter. RM15 per round.  The horseback riding activity will be taking a round at their park to see their other animals.

Parents are advised to check their kids when this activity is ongoing. This is also good for photo shooting. By the way, it's not advisable to take horseback riding when it is raining.

b. Animal Feeding

The animals that you can feed here are goats, cattle, fish, and rabbits. The food for their goat, cattle, and fish is already provided in the free pack. The leaves that need to feed to their rabbit need to be bought at a separate cost of RM10 per cup.

Their animal feeding is very exciting. Kids will enjoy it. They will actually have a good interaction with these real animals, which my kids usually just watch on screen like the Didi and Friends or the Old McDonald story rhymes.

Parents are advised to monitor and assist their children during animal feeding for safety purposes.

The feeding of their rabbits is really interesting. They have a good space and seating area with a big tables for the rabbits to be fed. Very interesting and the kids will surely enjoy it like my two little ones.

Other Animals In The Area

They also have other animals here. You can see their albino buffalo (pink buffalo) which is not advisable to be fed at the moment.

They also see their Deers from Indonesia which is not advisable to be fed at the moment. You can observe them and the park management placed a placard that tells about them. Geese and ducks are also around the area for the kids to exactly hear what they sound like.

Food Adventure Inside The Park

We finished taking all the activities in about 3 hours since the kids need time to adjust to the new environment.  So after the whole activity, we rested at their Kandang Kitchen and we took some of their signature dishes.

Overall, the food is okay but it's only limited as they are not serving rice meals. They served their meatballs as well as their burgers with their smoothies.  We took about 1 hour and 30 minutes here as we have to wait for the kids to finish eating.

Souvenir Shop

Before leaving this place, we also visited their small souvenir shop to buy some stuff. They have their Cattle Queen Park T-shirts that showcase their Mr. and Mrs. Incredibull designs.

Other stuff like key chains and some other merchandise are also available here. The kids will like their stuff toys.

3. Trip to Kluang Street Art 1:30- 4:30 PM

So after our trip at Cattle Queen Park, we went to Street Art in the town area and it took us about 30 minutes to drive to get to this place. Since it is our first time to get to this place, we drove carefully.

We didn’t expect that this Street Art is quite big. It is situated in a long stretch of one of the shop lots inside this Kluang Town. You will be amazed on their creative artworks.

The kid enjoyed it and the place seems to be like the turtle alley in Terengganu but this one is more spacious. We also spotted some local tourists taking photos with their beautiful artworks.

Since it's very hot, we just walk to a nearby fast-food chain to get rest and for the kids to eat something while resting in an air-conditioned food place.

Going Back to Johor Bahru (4:30- 6:00PM)

After all these activities, we went back to Johor Bahru around 4:30 PM and we reached JB at around 6:00 PM. Since it's time for dinner we just tapau our food outside and eat it at home.

Since it is a school holiday, there were some jams along the way which is expected. However, overall, the journey was quite smooth.
