Kumpool Kasturi to Serve As Additional Transport Option In Melaka

Kumpool has officially launched in Melaka as additional transportation option to the public transport landscape in Melaka through strategic partnerships with Panorama Melaka Sdn Bhd and Handal Indah Snd Bhd. 

Kumpool operation in Melaka will be named as Kumpool Kasturi. It will operate under the tagline "Kumpool Pengangkutan Kuminity Anda," Kumpool in Melaka will primarily function on an on-demand basis, serving as a feeder service to connect passengers to main trunk routes within designated zones assigned by the Agensi Penagangkutan Awam Darat (APAD).

According to YB Datuk Hameed Bin Mytheen Kunju Basheer, Executive Council for Public Works and Infrastructure, Kumpool's entry into Melaka marks a significant step toward enhancing transportation accessibility and affordability while contributing to the development and sustainability of the state. 

The collaborative efforts of Kumpool, Panorama, and Handal Indah Sdn are set to reshape the public transport landscape in Melaka, providing a modern and efficient solution for residents and visitors alike.

To make the travel experience as seamless as possible, all Kumpool reservations will be conducted exclusively online. Payment transactions will also be processed online, eliminating unnecessary delays and ensuring convenience for passengers. 

According to Mr. Mohd Riduan Salleh, Kumpool Melaka's Operation Head, he mentioned that one of the standout features of Kumpool is its commitment to affordability. Market research reveals that individual passengers can save up to 50% on their transport fare when using Kumpool, regardless of whether they travel during peak or non-peak hours.

During peak hours, passengers can save up to 80%, as Kumpool aims to provide a cost-effective alternative in contrast to other providers who typically impose higher rates during these times”, he also added.
