Iskandar Puteri is one of the most visited places of interest in Johor. It is where we can find those popular indoor theme parks in Malaysia particularly Sanrio Hello Kitty Town and Thomas Town.
Speaking of Thomas Town, we went to this place and I think in
the pipeline of the Johor Tourism for Visit Johor 2020, these two indoor themes park should be on the list.
Thomas Town is located on the Third Level of Sanrio Hello
Kitty Town and Thomas Town in Puteri Harbour, Iskandar Johor. I have listed
here the things to do in Thomas Town Malaysia for you to enjoy your adventure
to this wonderful indoor theme park.
1. Thomas The Train
Welcome aboard to Thomas The Train as we go around to Thomas town. We took the train to enter a tunnel and go around the Sodor Island playground inside the park.
We just queued up at the Knapford Station before the train master allowed us to board the train.
This adventure is a good place for your little one to try
riding on a train in about two minutes.
Since my son loved Thomas The Train very much, we are able
to take photos inside the Knapford Station before we took the train ride.
2. Bertie The Bus
Bertie the bus is one of a kind ride which I think good for
your little one too. They will surely enjoy the ride as the bus brings us up
and down with the music of “The Wheels On The Bus”.
We actually took the ride for how many time but since there
are a lot of rides inside the Thomas Town, we ended up taking up to three
times.
3. Harold Helitours Ride
At first, my son was scared of this ride because of the
noise coming from the ride. Eventually, he loved it especially when the ride
brings us up and spinned us up and down while inside a helicopter-like ride.
By the way, this ride (for me) is good for 2 years old and
above, parents should be accompanying them too so that they will be safe.
4. Windmill Ride
Aside from Thomas the train which we took about three
times, this is the other ride that my son loves it. The ride is very smooth
and it's really exciting.
We took this three times. The Windmill is not that fast
so even toddlers at least one year old can take the ride. But if you have a baby
with you (less than 1 year), better do not try.
The force of the gravity when the ride lifts you up may not
be suitable for the breathing of your baby.
5. Bumping Buffies Stemies & Diesel Ride
This ride is as simple as a bump car with the face of Thomas
on each of the cars in different colors (I can’t recall their names).
Anyway, this ride is not suitable for below 110 CM because
the ride might be a bit risky for the children. We weren’t allowed to take this
ride. So hoping on our next visit, we can try this out.
6. Colin Crane Drop Ride
This ride seems amazing to me. But since my son was so
scared to try this ride, we eventually put it on hold.
But upon watching the other kids and parents who tried this
out, the ride is safe and it’s not actually that bad. The drop ‘per se’ will
not actually drop you to the extreme level. The way I look at it, it’s really
full of fun.
7. Sodor Island Playground
This is located on top of the Thomas Train Ride/ Knapford
Station. The parent's lounge is also located here.
Parents can take a rest while the children are playing inside
the Sodor Island Playground. The children will be required to crawl, climb, and
slide inside the playground based on the structure of the playground.
8. Photo Session
As you roam around the place, don’t forget to get snapshots
of you with those rides. It will definitely be a good memory that you can
treasure as you exit Thomas Town.
Aside from Thomas Town, you can also go down at the second
level to witness the different shows they have:
a. Bob the Builder Show
This is a good engagement between the children and the
characters of Bob the Builder. The show is about 30 minutes. At that point in
time, my son was already tired so he eventually fell asleep.
Meanwhile, the show was good. The other children (guests) participated
well in the show.
b. Angelina Balerina Show
We actually didn't have the chance to watch this show but I
believe that it's gonna be an interesting show for everyone.
I am looking forward to coming back to Sanrio Hello Kitty Town
and Thomas Town together with my family to witness this show.
c. Trying out the Playground for Bob the Builder
This is the only activity park inside level two of the Sanrio Hello Kitty Town and Thomas Town in Johor. It's quite small but there are a lot of things that we can do inside.
There are bricks made out of soft toys that need to be
arranged and this will take time if you have a toddler doing it with you. I
would suggest you try it. It's gonna be fun for everyone.
The slide is also very interesting. I love it even at my old age.
d. Thomas Town Show
This was a performance about the story of Thomas and friends which the performing crew of Thomas Town did at the second level. The sound effects, the dance routines were very entertaining.
It is also at this stage where the kids can watch the show
of Barney and friends especially when they sing the famous song of Barney.
I hope for our next visit we can watch this entirely.
The kids and parents will surely love it.
